Doctoral research on Korean Adoptees by Sue Han

posted Mar 29, 2015, 8:05 PM by Luke K
Sue Han is a third year graduate student at the Graduate Department of Clinical Psychology of George Fox University.

She was born in Incheon, South Korea and immigrated to the United States when she was six years old. She decided to conduct her dissertation project on Korean adoptees. As a Korean-American herself, she has a desire to contribute to the Korean adoptee population because of her own questions and curiosity towards identity and ethnic minority status. She hopes that the implications of this research will help adoptive agencies and adoptive families gain a better understanding of the unique challenges faced by this population in order to promote a healthy development for young adoptees.
